Aimee is a Child and Adolescent CBT Therapist (PgDip), working with children and young people (up to age 25) experiencing anxiety and mood-related difficulties.
Aimee studied in UCL and the Open University (Psychology Bsc), and King’s College London (PgCert in the Psychology and Neuroscience of Mental Health), before completing her CBT training within King’s College London.
Working within Barnet CAMHS NHS Service, Aimee has experience working with a range of presentations, including:

· Single-Incident PTSD
· Low Mood/Depression
· Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
· Autism Spectrum
· Panic Disorder

Aimee works as part of the Emotional Health Team at Bikur Cholim D’Satmar London IAPT Service, providing therapy to young adults within the ultra-orthodox Jewish community. She is also a tutor for the DPsych and DCounsPsych doctorate students at the New School of Psychotherapy and Counselling, training students in CBT theory and skills practice.
Aimee believes strongly in empowering young people. She aims to give young people as much autonomy as possible within their therapeutic journey, and strives to create an atmosphere of empowerment within the therapy room, where each step towards progress is considered a victory.
Aimee understands that young people can sometimes encounter difficult emotions along their therapeutic journey, and aims to slowly encourage progress through her uniquely compassionate and child-centred approach. Aimee has experience working with clients from diverse populations, and continuously aims to promote equality, diversity and inclusion throughout her work.
Aimee is interested in how OCD presents within religious populations, and has compiled research into scrupulosity and OCD. Aimee is currently writing a guide for ultra-orthodox Jewish women who struggle with OCD in the context of family purity laws.
