Bio:

I am a Consultant Clinical Psychologist with over 30 years of experience working across the NHS, higher education, charities and private practice. I trained at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust, where I later became Dean and Director of Education and Training, overseeing national clinical programmes in psychotherapy and psychological therapy.

I work with adults experiencing a wide range of emotional, relational and psychological difficulties — including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, life transitions, identity and self- esteem, and work-related stress. My work is depth-focused: I am interested in patterns, not just symptoms and helping my clients make lasting change rather than short-term management. My approach draws upon both psychoanalytic understanding and structured evidence-based models including Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT) and Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP).

A particular area of specialism is working with people who carry significant responsibility for others — whether professionally, in families, in relationships or the complex ways in which personal and professional pressures impact each other. This context often shapes whether and how people seek help, and what they need from the therapeutic relationship. I find this work consistently meaningful, and I bring both clinical depth and direct experience of organisational, leadership and family life.

I offer both in-person sessions in North West London and at The Soke clinic in Chelsea, and online sessions via Zoom for clients across the UK. I also provide clinical supervision to qualified practitioners. This includes supervising the male therapy team at Bikur Cholim.

I hold an MA in Clinical Psychology from South Africa, advanced training in Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT) and Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP), and an MBA from Henley Business School. I am registered with the HCPC (PYL 20753) and am a member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and the International Experiential Dynamic Therapy Association (IEDTA).
