Jacqui Strubel
Founder of Creative Calm - SEN Specialist - Workshop Facilitator

Hi,
Hoping that as you have found your way to this page you are a parent or carer or know someone who is, for a child with special educational needs (SEN).
As a specialist teacher to children and young adults who are dyslexic and/or dyscalculic it has enabled me to have an insight into the parent’s world. (L5 Dip. in Teaching & Assessing for Dyslexia & SpLDs – The Helen Arkell Charity & PATOSS Associate member) This can often be challenging, isolating and emotional, which is why I have developed The Creative Calm workshops.
The Creative Calm workshops are gentle, small-group sessions designed to help you slow down, reduce stress and take time out from busy and demanding lives.
As a former SENCO, alongside my experience in children’s counselling (L3 Certificate in Children’s Counselling with Place 2 Be), working with a creative arts charity and my own lived experience as an SEN parent, I bring a deep understanding of the realities faced by families of children with additional needs.
My workshops are created specifically for parents and carers of children with special educational needs, offering a calm, supportive space to pause, breathe and spend time alongside others who understand – without pressure, expectation or the need to explain.
Sessions combine simple creative activities using natural materials with quiet reflection, creating an accessible and grounding experience. No artistic experience is needed.
I look forward to welcoming you to our calm space and supporting you during our workshops.....an hour just for you!
