A warm welcome to our newer members, and hello to anyone thinking about joining the Mill Hill Therapy Hub 👋
Your profile is often the first impression a prospective client has of you, so it is worth giving it a little time and care. A clear, complete profile helps people understand who you work with, what you offer and how to take the next step.
Are you using the words clients are searching for?
Clients increasingly ask Google and AI tools for therapist recommendations. These tools read the words on your profile, so the more relevant and accurate keywords you include in the main text section of your bio, the easier it may be for someone searching for specific support to find you.
Name the areas you genuinely work with, such as anxiety, bereavement, relationships, trauma or low mood. Include the client groups you see, such as adults, teens, children, couples or families. Also name your approaches, such as CBT, psychodynamic, integrative or systemic work.
Be clear about whether you offer online therapy, in-person sessions at the Mill Hill Therapy Hub or both. Mention your relevant locations too, such as Mill Hill, Hendon or Kingston. Plain, everyday language is best 😊
Are you making the most of every section?
Each section has a job. Try to complete your:
- Headline and job title
- Main bio text
- Areas of expertise
- Types of therapy or approaches
- Client groups
- Qualifications and accreditation
- Availability
- Booking options
Look at Esther Ebbing’s profile for a strong example of a well-filled-in page.
You can update your profile yourself at the profile management page. It is password protected. The password should be in your inbox, or you can ask us if you cannot find it. Log in with your details and edit your profile directly.
Is your photo working hard for you?
A square photo works best. Choose a clear, recent and friendly head and shoulders image rather than a cropped landscape photo. A square image fits the profile layout neatly and helps your listing look polished 📷
Have you added a free Calendly link?
A free Calendly account is one of the quickest wins. Clients can book an introductory call or session at a time that suits them, which removes the back and forth of arranging a time.
It also shows a professional and streamlined approach. Add your Calendly link to your profile and keep your availability up to date.
What else can help you get noticed?
Consider recording a short YouTube introduction of around 20 to 40 seconds. Say who you are, who you help and how people can get in touch 🎥
You can also host a workshop for our members. It is a lovely way to share your expertise, meet other practitioners and build your profile within our community.

Would you like to be more connected?
Our WhatsApp community includes interest-based groups that members can choose from, making it easier to connect with other practitioners between events and share ideas.
If you are considering joining, explore our Services and Membership page. If you would like to talk through your profile, book a chat with Marc on Calendly or contact us. We are always happy to help you make your profile as clear, welcoming and useful as possible 🌟
