Papiya Rozario
Psychodynamic Counsellor & Therapist
Therapy for Individuals and Couples | In-Person and Online
Hello, I’m Papiya. I am a psychodynamic counsellor and therapist, offering a warm, reflective and non-judgemental space for individuals and couples who may be experiencing emotional, relational or psychological difficulties.
I believe that our relationships and early experiences can shape the way we understand ourselves, relate to others and respond to the challenges we encounter throughout life. My approach provides space to explore these experiences in greater depth, helping you develop insight into recurring patterns and supporting meaningful and lasting change.
I hold a Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling and an MA in Special Needs and Inclusion. I am also an ADHD Certified Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP) and coach.
Alongside my therapeutic work, I bring over 20 years of experience working with neurodivergent individuals and within the field of special educational needs and inclusion. This experience informs my neurodiversity-affirming approach and my understanding of the different ways ADHD, autism, AuDHD and other forms of neurodivergence can shape emotional wellbeing, relationships, identity and everyday life.
My work is grounded primarily in psychodynamic and attachment-based thinking. Together, we may explore how past experiences, significant relationships and unconscious patterns can influence your present emotional life and relationships.
I aim to create a collaborative therapeutic relationship where you can feel heard, understood and able to bring the parts of yourself and your experiences that may be difficult to share elsewhere. I work in a way that is relational, trauma-informed and sensitive to each person's individual circumstances and identity.
I have a particular interest in working with neurodivergent adults, including individuals with ADHD, autism and AuDHD. I understand that neurodivergence can intersect with experiences of identity, masking, relationships, self-esteem, emotional regulation and belonging.
I also offer an inclusive and affirming space for LGBTQ+ and non-binary individuals. My aim is to provide a therapeutic environment where all aspects of your identity can be explored without judgement or assumption.
Alongside my work with individuals, I also work with couples. I support partners who may be experiencing difficulties with communication, emotional connection, intimacy, trust or recurring relational patterns.
My experience working with neurodivergent individuals also enables me to work sensitively with couples where neurodiversity may be influencing the dynamics of the relationship.
I offer both short- and long-term therapy, depending on your individual needs. My aim is to provide a thoughtful and supportive space where you can explore your experiences, gain a deeper understanding of yourself and develop new ways of relating to yourself and others.
