Bio:

Hello and Welcome!

My name is Rachel and I am a qualified, HCPC Registered Art Therapist and Clinical Supervisor.

If you’ve found your way here, you might be looking for support, whether for yourself or someone you care about, and feeling unsure about where to begin or which type of therapy is right. That’s completely understandable. I'm here to listen, answer your questions, and help you explore what might work best for you. We’ll take things at your pace, making sure you feel safe, comfortable, and supported throughout.

I specialise in utilising art materials to help people explore their thoughts and emotions more deeply. Art Therapy focuses on the process of creating, not just on words. That said, if you or your child prefer to talk without using art materials, that’s absolutely fine too – both approaches can be effective.

I have extensive experience working with young children (ages 7-11), adolescents and adults. Currently, I am the Lead Art Psychotherapist at a SEN School and have over five years experience working in the NHS, supporting children with a range of needs and adults with learning disabilities. In addition to this, I offer clinical supervision for both of my roles.

I have supported clients facing various challenges, including:

Mental Health Issues: Anxiety, panic attacks, depression, emotional dysregulation

Personal Challenges: Anger, insecurities, identity challenges, relationship issues

Life Events: Bereavement, illness, complex trauma, life transitions

Behavioural Concerns: Attachment issues, suicidal thoughts, neurodiversity,

In particular, I have a passion for supporting those diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Condition, Attention Deficit Disorder and Learning Disabilities.

Sessions can take place either face to face or online. Initially, a free telephone consultation will take place to discuss how I can support you and/or your child and what can be achieved through therapy.

My goal is to support you on your journey toward healing and self-discovery. I look forward to meeting with you!
