Bio:

I’m Rommy, a qualified Therapeutic Play Practitioner and member of Play Therapy UK (PTUK), with over 25 years of experience in Early Years education. I am also trauma-trained, which deepens my understanding of how early experiences can impact a child’s development, behaviour, and emotional world. My background gives me a strong foundation in how children learn, communicate, and process experiences, as well as how therapeutic play can help them express what words sometimes cannot.

As a Play Therapist, I create a calm, safe, and nurturing space where children are free to explore their feelings and experiences through play and creativity. Using art, sand, clay, puppets, musical instruments, stories and role-play, I help children process difficult emotions, build confidence, and discover their own ways of coping.

I support children with a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, low self-esteem, difficulties with emotional regulation or anger, and social or friendship struggles. I also work with children with Autism, ADHD, developmental delays, trauma, loss, and attachment difficulties.

My approach is gentle, child-led, and centred in strong, trusting relationships. I believe when children feel safe, understood, and supported, they naturally develop resilience, confidence, and the capacity to thrive.
