Hi, I'm Vicky.
Perhaps you are feeling overwhelmed, burned out, anxious or disconnected from yourself or the people around you. You may be carrying experiences from the past, struggling in relationships or worried about a teenager who has become withdrawn, shutdown or difficult to reach. You might know something needs to change, but unsure about where to begin... As a qualified integrative counsellor and creative therapist, registered with the BACP and accredited with the NCPS, I support teenagers, adults and parents through in-person sessions in Edgware and online.
My work is grounded in warmth, trust, and connection, and I believe wholeheartedly in the resilience and potential of every person I meet.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent over two decades in education, working closely with teens as a teacher and in pastoral leadership roles. These years gave me invaluable insight into the pressures young people face — not just academically, but emotionally and socially. It was during this time that I found myself drawn more and more to the emotional wellbeing side of my work. Sitting one-to-one with students, listening without judgment, and helping them find ways to cope — that’s where I felt most at home. Eventually, I realised this was more than a part of my job — it was my calling.
Today, I provide a safe, non-judgmental space where young people can express themselves in whatever way feels right — through words, creativity, art, or simply just by being. I take an integrative and trauma-informed approach, drawing on a range of therapeutic tools to meet each client exactly where they are. My areas of strength are trauma, suicidal ideation, domestic violence, sexual abuse, self-harm and relationships. However, I'm equally happy to work with whatever my client brings to each session.
I hold a specialised diploma in teenage counselling through the arts. My practice is guided by compassion, ethical integrity, and a deep respect for every individual’s journey. I also hold an enhanced DBS certificate and stay up to date with training, supervision, and ongoing professional development. I am EMDR trained and integrate this into my practice, where appropriate.
Above all, I want the people I work with to feel seen, heard, and understood — and to know they don’t have to go through things alone.
