There is something truly special about the energy that fills a room when a group of passionate therapists gets together. It’s not just about the clinical talk or the “how’s work?” pleasantries; it’s about that shared understanding of what it means to hold space for others.
In March 2026, we hosted our very first social event of 2026, and it was a milestone for us at the Mill Hill Therapy Hub. Not only was it our first get-together of the year for our opt-in members, but it was also the official “housewarming” for our brand-new site on Sunbury Avenue.
As we stood there, sushi in hand, watching our community of practitioners laugh, catch up, and swap stories, we couldn’t help but feel an overwhelming sense of pride. This is exactly why we started the Hub: to create a space where therapists don’t just work, but where they belong.
A Casual Vibe in a Beautiful New Space
We’ve always believed that the environment you work in dictates the energy you bring to your sessions. That’s why we put so much heart into the design of our Sunbury Avenue site. Seeing it filled with people for the first time felt like the final piece of the puzzle.
The vibe was exactly what we love: casual, warm, and relentlessly positive. There were no stiff suits or corporate presentations. Instead, there was just good food, great company, and the kind of organic networking that happens when you put like-minded people in a room together.
We enjoyed some incredible sushi (which, for the record, vanished at an impressively professional speed) while catching up on everything that’s been happening since the Christmas break.

It was wonderful to see familiar faces, as well as some new members who have just joined the community.

Exploring the Sunbury Avenue Rooms
One of the highlights of the evening was giving everyone a proper tour of the two new rooms at Sunbury Avenue. If you haven’t had a chance to visit yet, we’ve designed these spaces to cater to very different needs, ensuring every client feels at home.
The Sunbury Avenue Adult Room
This room is all about comfort and tranquility. We’ve gone for a “cosy-chic” feel with deep green velvet armchairs and a stunning floral wallpaper feature wall. It’s the kind of room that immediately lowers the heart rate. Whether you’re conducting one-to-one sessions or working with a couple, the lighting and layout are designed to foster deep, calm conversation.

The Sunbury Avenue Art and Play Therapy Room
Just across the way, we have our creative hub. This room is a vibrant, bright space filled with art supplies, white storage drawers, and even a children’s sink for those messier play therapy sessions. The mosaic accent wall and the red floral tablecloth give it a playful yet structured energy. It’s been a joy to see how our child practitioners and art therapists are already making this space their own.

You can find more details about these specific spaces on our Sunbury Avenue Adult Room and Sunbury Avenue Art and Play Room pages.
The Heart of the Hub: Our Membership Community
Events like these remind us that the Mill Hill Therapy Hub is so much more than just a set of rooms for rent. We are a community.
Being a therapist in private practice can sometimes feel a little bit like being on an island. You spend your days looking after everyone else, but who looks after you? Our membership is designed to be that bridge. When you join us, you’re not just getting a key to a beautiful office; you’re gaining a network of colleagues who understand the unique challenges and joys of this profession.

Our members benefit from:
- Flexible Room Bookings: Using our seamless online system to manage your practice without the headache of long-term leases.
- A Professional Profile: Being featured on our practitioners page to help clients find the right support.
- Regular Socials: Like our Sunbury Avenue evening, where we focus on connection and peer support.
- A Supportive Environment: Whether it’s sharing resources or just having a chat in the kitchen between sessions, the Hub is built on the idea that we are better together.
If you’re a practitioner looking for a new home for your practice, we’d love to have you. You can check out our services and membership options to see how we can support your growth.
BIG NEWS: Hale Drive is open!
We couldn’t let the night pass without a major announcement. We are thrilled to share that our Hale Drive therapy rooms are officially open!
Hale Drive has always been a favourite for many of our long-term practitioners, and we’ve been working hard behind the scenes to get it ready for its grand return. From the bright, inviting Adult Room 1 with its iconic patchwork armchairs to the peaceful atmosphere that has always defined that site, we couldn’t wait to see the doors open once again.

If you’ve been waiting to book space at Hale Drive, now is the time! You can take a peek at the rooms and check availability here: Hale Drive Adult Room 1 and Hale Drive Adult Room 2.
Why We Do What We Do
As co-founders of the Mill Hill Therapy Hub, we often get asked why we invest so much time into the “small stuff”: the specific shade of green for an armchair, the quality of the tea in the kitchen, or organizing a sushi night on a Thursday.
The answer is simple: we believe that therapists deserve to work in spaces that reflect the value of the work they do.
Private practice shouldn’t mean being isolated. It should mean having the freedom to run your business your way, with the safety net of a community behind you. Whether it’s our team keeping an eye on the room calendars (between watching the occasional Arsenal match!) or the way we ensure our “little libraries” are always stocked with interesting reads, every detail is handled with care.
Looking Ahead
The Sunbury Avenue social was just the beginning for 2026. We have so much planned for the coming months, from more community get-togethers to workshops and peer supervision.
If you were there last night, thank you for making it such a warm and memorable evening. If you couldn’t make it, don’t worry: there will be plenty more opportunities to connect soon.
