September always brings a particular energy to the Mill Hill Therapy Hub. After the quieter rhythm of summer, practitioners are getting back into the swing of things, reconnecting with colleagues and preparing for a busy new academic year. We’re looking forward to learning, sharing and making space for our community. 😊

Are you looking for CPD?

On Monday 7 September, Caron Barruw from Your Anchor is presenting an online workshop on systemic therapy.

It’s a great opportunity to explore systemic thinking with a practitioner who brings a wealth of experience to her work. Our members can log the monthly workshops as CPD hours where applicable, including for BACP members, making these sessions a useful part of an ongoing professional development plan.

Are you ready to reconnect?

We’re also holding our first evening social of the new academic year at our Sunbury Avenue site 🎉 There will be kosher sushi, plenty of time to network and a relaxed opportunity to meet other practitioners. We’re especially looking forward to welcoming new members and helping everyone feel part of our inclusive community. Details are in our members’ WhatsApp group, so do keep an eye there for the latest information.

Do you work with children?

Our Monday evening child therapist peer supervision group is resuming, and we’re starting a new Thursday afternoon group too. We know that schedules can vary enormously, so offering different days and times helps more practitioners access the support they need.

Peer supervision is such a valuable way to reflect on your work, share ideas and learn from colleagues who understand the realities of working in mental health. It’s also included as part of membership, alongside our CPD workshops, socials and wider practitioner community.

The Thursday group will meet in our welcoming Sunbury Avenue child room, with its creative resources and child-friendly atmosphere.

What about adult practitioners?

Our adult peer supervision group is also properly starting on Monday evenings in the Sunbury Avenue adult room. This comfortable, versatile space is well suited to thoughtful group discussion and shared reflection.

As with the child groups, adult peer supervision is part of membership. It’s one of the ways we help our practitioners feel supported, connected and less alone in their work. 🤝

September is shaping up to be a busy and positive month for all of us. To explore our services and membership, book a chat with Marc or contact the Mill Hill Therapy Hub.

Full membership is £60 for the academic year or £6 per month, giving you access to our practitioner community, CPD workshops, socials and peer supervision groups.
